The Google giveth and the Google taketh away...

So while it seems like Chrome OS v62 (stable) brought with it an experimental Night Light feature, it's not all good news. I noticed after a powerwash (reset) yesterday that I could no longer install some Android apps, like Netflix and The Elder Scrolls: Legends.

It looks like a bug with Chrome OS v62 is causing devices to be reported as "Uncertified" in the Play Store:

Kind of a bummer, particularly since Netflix support is a headline feature for the Pixelbook. Hopefully this will get sorted quickly!

Google absolutely needs to fix that ASAP, especially as it's their own thing that's become "uncertified".
I've seen the same thing with beta Android releases but this is my first time encountering it with a stable release.

The Play Store on my Pixelbook still shows "Uncertified", but I'm now able to install Netflix and Elder Scrolls: Legends. It kind of looks like they just waived the certification requirement?

Anyhoo, that's good enough for me - now I can download some Netflix shows for watching while I'm on the road next week. :)
