I've stopped using TiBu because it does stuff like this. I think there's something wrong with the permissions.

Try going into ROM manager and using the fix permissions feature. This usually fixes the problem.

Unfortunatly the fix permissions didnt help anything.

What do you use to restore apps?

I also noticed another thing. I use the app organizer app to create a folder for all my games. When I create the shortcut and try to put games in the folder it doesnt recognize any apps on the phone.

i had this issue. so what i did to resolve it was delete all my backups from within TiBu and then do a fresh backup. the next time i flashed a rom and did a batch restore it worked fine.

Ill try that. Looks like I have to flash back to my back up and then start all over :(

I was super excited about this ROM until I saw the FC with the alarm clock when launched from the multimedia dock. I use my DROID as my bedside alarm clock in the dock so this is a big issue for me :(

I'll be anxiously awaiting the bug fix!

That's because it's missing the Alarm Clock .apk. I would use 'rmdock' to get rid of the multimedia dock entirely and just use the clock. That has an alarm feature built right in.

How do i delete one of the 2 fixed icons on ADW Launcher?

You should be able to disable either of them in the ADW configuration settings. They are called LAB and RAB (left and right action buttons)

If you're just trying to replace what is on it, drag another icon over it.

Yea just wanted to replace what's on it....thought I had to delete the current icon 1st (like in Helix Launcher), and couldn't figure out how to delete it. Dragging a new icon over worked. Thanks.

Niether fixing the permissions nor deleting all the backups and redoing them before installing the rom worked.

I really like this rom but I dont want to have to manually install EVERYTHING. Anyone know of a different back up program or any way to fix this?

EDIT: Im pretty sure that I have fixed this issue

I don't know what you did to the launcher fobolos but its flawless and nexbeast is much faster.. much faster.

your so the man!! you and Pete can keep it coming sir!

Sometime on this rom my battery will drop 20% in 20 minutes lierally. Im not talking the percentage in the notification bar beacuse i know that drops by 20% but in my battery widget and in setcpu system status. I dont know why i just did a full battery drain to see if it was programmed wrong but ill see what happens. Im running p3droids 1ghz at 1ghz.

Love this rom. I have only been testing it for a few hours but love the ADW Launcher the only thing it is missing is the 3D app tray(I really dont care for the Samsung). It runs smooth and cool and looks great. Well done Sir.

I love this ROM, but it is causing my phone to consistently stay in the 90 degrees, I was using bekit 1.2 LV7X then I changed to P3Droid 1200 same thing. I noticed that it says I should do a boot wipe, and I've searched and can't find the procedures...and also when you do a boot wipe will I have to reload the ROM or just reinstall the kernel?

my phone does the same thing, it never really goes below 85. But then again im running p3's 1ghz kernal.

Quick dock problem...When running LED Hack and putting phone in Dock. I hit the dim button and phone dims for about 5 seconds then returns to normal brightness. I removed LED Hack and it dims like its suppose to without undimming. Please advice.

I'm in the low 20's with p3droid's 600Mhz kernel. Your temps are not a result of the ROM per se...

I don't think he's blaming the ROM. Because he said he's going to change the kernel. I also think it's a kernel compatiablilty issue. But I could be assuming the wrong thing about both what he's blaming and what's wrong with my phone. Can't wait till tomorrow when I can hopefully get this resolved.

I don't think LEDs hack works correctly with Bugless Beast. It even says so in the app description. Hopefully the developer finds out what is causing these issues.

How do you wipe data, cache, system, and boot through the terminal?

You can't from the terminal, but if you boot into clockwork recovery, all you need to do is go into the 'partitions' menu, and you can format all those partitions.

Once again, awesome ROM. I hadn't changed anything on my phone since I first installed NexBeast (Back in March I believe) but I'm glad I logged back on to find this! With the P3 1250 kernals my phone is constantly at 20c and is running smoother than ever! Thanks again, I highly appreciate it!

has anyone noticed any lag on the ADW launcher when coming out of sleep? i have tried it on this rom, BBv1 and CM 5.0.6.2 and 5.0.7 test 1 and all with the same results. i wish there was a way to keep this launcher in memory.

I'm running Bekits 1.1 kernel and temps constantly stay in the high 80's to low 90's. I'm gonna try P3's kernel and see if the temps get any cooler.

I'm running P3Droid's 1.2Ghz 7 Slot kernel and my idle CPU temps are in the low 20's (celsius) and my idle battery temps are in the mid 20's (celsius). For me specifically, Bekit's 1.2Ghz kernel would run hotter for me which is why I switched to P3Droid's and never looked back. The other thing to remember is that, unfortunately, no two Droids are created alike - which ends up resulting in such a wide sampling of success/complaints regarding different kernels. I'm just curious though, are you guys using an app like Temp Monitor to keep tabs on both CPU and Battery temps? Not sure which temp you're referring to when you mention them.. :D

And just for the sake of benchmarking, under heavy load (for me, this includes streaming pandora/mp3s, surfing the web, reading news articles via the News & Weather Widget), reading/replying to email, texting) my CPU temps stay in the mid to high 30's, very rarely do they go into the 40's, same for battery temps, although the battery temps always seem to be higher than my CPU temps..

Running at 1.1Ghz on P3Droid's 7-Slot 1.2Ghz LV kernel and I can say that I haven't noticed any lag coming out of sleep. I honestly think my phone is snappier coming out of sleep with ADW on this ROM than with Helix on NexBeast 1.0..

yeah i am running the sam kernel and have tried various clock speeds. still has some initial lag that goes away after about 10-12 seconds.

NexBeast V1.0.1 Release
Installation Instructions
-Rename to update.zip if using SPR, otherwise just install .zip with Clockwork. It is always good policy to do a complete wipe of data, cache, system, and boot. Don't say I didn't warn you :D

Installing over NexBeast V1.0
-Run the following code in terminal emulator/adb before you update please:
Code:
su
sysrw
rm /system/app/wireless_tether_2_0-pre10.apk
sync
sysro
...

OPTIONAL Kernels

Hey Fab! I installed NexBeast 1.0.1 last night... and man, I almost burned an eyebrow with the lighting speed of the ROM! :D

I'm not sure what you did, but I was able to install the P3droid 1.2 GHz... man, WHAT A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BetKit 1.0 GHz and this one!

When I first installed NexBeast v1.0 I installed without wiping out the data and cache (I know - It is always good policy to do a complete wipe of data, cache, system, and boot. Don't say I didn't warn you :D). Well this time around, I:

  1. Wiped out the data and cache
  2. Restore my NexBeast v1.0
  3. Installed v1.0.1 (removed the APK as you noted in the instructions)
  4. Installed the P3droid 1.2GHz kernel
  5. Rebooted.

It initially hung... but then I did the almighty battery pull and when it rebooted WAHLAH! everything was fine (needless to say that I am afraid of rebooting now! :D).

As far as the updates, I love everything but the ADW launcher. I am still on Helix2. I like having four buttons at the bottom and not having to go through that tedious step of touching the app drawer and swiping it up and there are other app drawer aspects I did not like. But maybe I have not gone through the settings you noted in the video.

My number one complaint of any launcher is "HOW CAN I PUSH/IMPORT MY HOME SCREEN PERSONALIZATION FROM ANOTHER LAUNCHER?"

I really do not want to go an define every widget and app icon and place them identically to how they were in my current launcher.

Do you have a script for that? If no, I can create it, just need to know where the launcher places the home screen personalization.

GREAT JOB on this update release!
