G6 Oreo?

When is the G6 getting Oreo? I'm with Rogers .

The LG V30 is supposed to arrive in Canada on October 20th so I'd expect the Oreo update for the G6 to either be in November or December 2017. Just a guess though

I'm not sure I'd hold my breath. The G6 is still on 7.0 when most other Nougat phones are on 7.1.1 or 7.1.2.

Yes i notice some Lg g6 are on 7.1 in youtube (for some youtubers ) and mine is still 7.0 i don't know why

Who's your carrier? Mine's AT&T and we're always slow to update.

The LG V30 didn't ship with Oreo so I'm upping my estimate for LG G6 users to 2018. Hopefully January..., and hopefully it's a major upgrade to Nougat.
I love trying new features!

I'm not hopeful for the end of the year prediction, either. I'm guessing 1st (or 2nd) quarter of '18. (Is it going to be 2018 already? Time surely flies when your having ... whatever it is we're having.)

Then you'd probably get it from LG before any US carrier-branded phone.

How did you get a G6 re-sku'd on Boost? DNA tool?

Second part - I'm guessing no. Updates are handed out to carriers, carriers check-test, then send to phone. If Boost doesn't support a G6, then nobody is testing-pushing any updates to that phone.

I called Boost, gave them the IMEI and within minutes I was up and running. Everything I've tried seems to work fine.

And that's not good news unfortunately.

Hi Guys,

I've looked around the web but struggling to see if there is any dates for Oreo release on EE UK. Seems as though LG are a little slow at pushing there updates through? Is it correct that nougat is only on version 7.0 and we don't get the 7.1 incremental release?

No. 7.1 would appear to be not easily seen as better/faster/cooler than 7.0 to the average user. If it was we'd have heard somewhere/seen posted.

Aye, thought that would be the case mate. Wasn't too sure if it was something which was available outside of Europe. Still, will have to hang on for Oreo &#128512;
