Anyone got the the new Nougat rollout?

Is it worth giving a try?
Thanks.
IB
Most users agree the Nougat update is good, really good... Battery life is improved, GPS and Bluetooth issues are almost non-existent, security is improved, etc. The people who have issues are few and far between, the latest version seems very stable and reliable.

But be aware there really isn't a "try"... once you upgrade, downgrading is impossible without an unlocked bootloader, and difficult with it, and has some potential consequences. For example, if you downgrade and happen to take the OTA update again, it is hard-bricked... meaning permanently (at least so far the only fix is a motherboard replacement at your cost, if Moto will even look at it since an unlocked bootloader voids the warranty).

Basically, if you upgrade stick with it, even if you have problems... the answer for 99% of people is not to go back to Marshmallow.

Thanks. I am trying to figure out how it will affect my nova launcher, and custom screen settings.
Also went to youtube, and a few videos, and regularly, in the comments there is more anger about the entire way Lenovo mishandled the moto x line.

None of those things should be affected... Nova is fine, and if your in doubt just backup the settings first. The update itself is good, the time it took to roll out and how Lenovo handled it, not so much.
