Customization questions about the MXPE

Hey everyone, looks like I'm still here!

So, I recently changed my network name without any seeming problems, from MetroPCS, to Kindness.

Now i'd like to do some other things.

1: Remove the dumb circular "user profile" icon in the status bar, (I know who I am, thank you very much)

2: Is there any way to kill the boot animation sequence for Newgat 7.0? (I see what I did there) It looks like a french 1970's movie where a girl with a umbrellas dances around paris in the rain with some horrible la la la la la ba ba ba be da da vocal soundtrack, and gives me therapeutic issues about my mommy.

I'd like a custom boot animation if possible. I did this with both my old LG and three samsungs in a row. Maybe it's time to root?

3: is there any 3rd party camera software for the MXPE that functions better than the built in camera software?

4: I bought a cheap clip on set of lenses (plastic) to improve the lens capabilities of the MXPE, but I am wondering if there is a legitimate add on that actually enhances photo quality.

5: Has anyone here moved all their apps to their External SD card? how did it go?

Thanks!

1) Nope, and most custom ROMs have that... It is part of User Switching feature of Android, although it is not included or is disabled by the OEM in most (some?) phones. Some custom ROMs have the ability to disable it being shown in the notification bar though.

2) Not on stock, although you can disable the startup sound. I am unaware of any custom boot animations that can be applied to the stock ROM even with root. How often do you power cycle your phone that this is a legitimate issue?

3) No, since this device doesn't support Camera API 2 there isn't much in the way of a camera app that's better, although you might find some camera apps that you like better as far as features go but picture quality differences shouldn't be noticeable.

4) I know nothing about this... Sounds gimmicky to me, the camera on the Moto X P/S is pretty good as it is, if you want much better you would probably want to invest in a decent camera based on your budget (Nikon CoolPix or something like that).

5) It isn't supported in Nougat, you would have to use adopted storage and honestly the whole "adopted storage" thing is a huge waste. It's slow and it puts a lot of r/w stress on the card, causing it to fail unexpectedly. Even the mods on the official Moto forums recommend not using it.

Be aware, now that you are on Nougat some new rules apply... If you unlock your bootloader and change nothing else, you will fail SafetyNet API checks, meaning things like Snapchat, Netflix, Android Pay, Pokemon Go, and most financial apps will fail to work (just to name a few). You can bypass it currently with Magisk, but honestly that is a back and forth battle with Google, right now Magisk is "winning" but at anytime an update could end that and then you are waiting for the Magisk team to update, until Google updates, then the whole cycle starts over.

Got it. so , No, no, .... no, and basically NO. LOL.

Makes sense. I've pretty much pushed this to it's limits.Only thing left to do was get more RAM freed up, and remove the dancing hippos in the bootup screen.
Thanks again!
