Help Note8 and LTE Apple Watch

Is there any way to have the note8 unlocked when the apple watch is near? I dont want to have any functionality I just want them paired by bluetooth. is this at all possible ?

Are you in the UK? According to the ad, and I've researched no further, the Apple watch will only work on EE.

Hey thanks for the reply, I have the apple watch working fine without a phone(I am on EE).

My question is, is there anyway to pair the apple watch with my note8 just so my phones unlock, I know I cant do anything but I just want them paired together for this unlock feature. Obviously I'm not that bothered would just be nice if I could.

Why dont you use the location based service of android to keep your phone unlocked? Or , whilst its on your person it remains unlocked?

I am currently doing this, but obviously if I can connect it, it means when I go and sit down somewhere like a friends house, restaraunt etc. It will still be unlocked because my watch is near. Like I said it's not a massive concern just be nice if I could.

In short i dont think you can. Has nothing to do with ther particular device, just apples (pun intended ) and nougat (or oranges ) .

Yer I looked at that I was hoping there would be some way to actually get them to be paired over bluetooth though and not actually use them together. Owell thanks for the info and trying to find some stuff for us.

Even if, theres no android “hooks” in the apple OS to allow the two to work together.

I mean if you root your device and jailbreak the watch, you may be able to do anything, but thats beyond the scope of this discussion....
