Root mibilego stuck half way through rooting process

I connected my Moto G 3 to Windows 7 (64 bit) with a USB (debugging enabled) and clicked on the 1-click rooting of Wondershare's MobileGo.

It has been stuck on the Get Root Access screen now for two hours saying:
"Getting root access, please wait..."

It also says Please do NOT disconnect your device.

Should I still be waiting? I'm guessing it's stuck in a loop.
If there is a problem, how can I disconnect safely? Surely if I disconnect I'm left with a brick?

Any advice or thoughts? Thanks

I doubt that would work. The device itself should be fine.

I disconnected after 2 hours. now the mobile is fine and working. But I don't think root was succeeded. And thanks for your reply.

None of those "one-click" rooters work past Lollipop...

Unlock the bootloader and flash Magisk or SuperSU and your done, it isn't difficult and there are multiple tutorials on XDA that are current.
