Mobile Data Issues

So I used to have an s7 edge (T-Mobile), caught 2-3 bars of data in my room, so connection was ok. Recently I just got the s8+ (Verizon) (Unlocked) my carrier is still T-Mobile, but now I'm not catching anything at all in my room. No connection whatsoever. Keep in mind, my Mobile Data works. Just no longer in my room with this new s8+.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Maybe you need to reset the APN from Verizon to T-Mobile, as an incorrect APN for your carrier will not work. Especially as it is a Verizon version phone.

Is the reception weaker generally?

I don't trust "signal bars" - they don't have any standard meaning, and can change between devices or even software releases, so 2-3 bars could be lower than you think and it might only take a small loss in reception to drop completely. But if you still have the old phone you could use system menus or a third party app to compare real reception units (dBm).

I use to be able to browse through the internet, watch YouTube videos, even movies with my older phone, now my new s8+ has no connection. I still have my old phone but I reset it, will that matter?
