Help Please?!

So my phone won't pass a certain point. I have a Samsung S6 and it recently got wet. I tried to boot it up a few times and it just kept crashing repeatedly. At a certain point it got stuck on warning custom OS Screen and immediately dies off charger which i initiated through the Vol Dw+ Power. I can continue to hold it and it'll keep cycling if I remove the phone from the charger while the screen is on it immediately dies. Any help here?

Hello!
Sorry about your device, but stop trying to boot it up.

Either stick it in a bag of rice for about 48 hours or read thru this thread:

Edit: crap, not exactly the thread I was looking for, so here is a better one:

So I took apart the phone and nothing. I removed the battery let it sit for 10 minutes. There was nothing inside no sticky mess no nothing. i put it all back together and I attempted the same thing. It's still stuck at the warning screen I can't hit either volume button and the only way to power down is the Power+Vol Down. I don't know what to do. I can't put it in odin mode or anything it's just stuck at the screen. I should clarify that it was soda pop that got on it's insides.

oh boy. :( 10 minutes? My friend, if there is any hope at all for getting your device to come back to life, you really need to stop trying to boot it up while it still has soda in it. :p

Follow, at least, the instructions for the alcohol bath. That device needs to be drier than dry, and clean as possible. That sticky pop mess is worse than water imo.

So, I really hope there is hope, but I'll be frank with you....it may be toast. I hope not, I really do, so do the alcohol bit.

Seriously, take the battery out. Take the sim out. Take any SD card out. rinse it with alcohol multiple times and let it air dry for 4-8 hours. Then place it in a bag of uncooked rice for 72 hours. If you've led a good, clean life, it might boot up. If that seems excessive to you, then I'd recommend shopping for a new phone, because anything less will just drive the proverbial nail in the coffin that was once an S6.

ALRIGHT So sick update, it's been 72 hours after we finally got some alchol the other day! NOW I'm in the Android Recovery menu

Now BEFORE I do this. Will the data that was on the phone be kept?
It should be yes. Wiping the cache partition only does NOT wipe your data. Be sure not to wipe data/factory reset, I repeat do NOT wipe data/factory reset. Just the cache partition. :D Just wanted to be clear lol.

Now, after doing that, your data will be safe. It will be a question of if it will boot normally to access your data. (due to the soda pop stuff)

If the gods are smiling on you, you will be able to boot into the system. The FIRST thing you should do is backup EVERYTHING off the phone. Why tempt fate?

Well now you know that when you were 12 and your mother asked you to help an old nun cross the street it wasn't for nothing. ;) :D

You have just spent some of your Karma equity. :)
