Weird app named account

Ho everyone,

I just noticed an app named account on my s8 which I can't delete and there isn't any info about it.
I tried to google it but it s hard to find it because of the name.
What is exactly this app and how do I get rid of it?

I moved this over to the S8 channel. It might be something from Samsung that's part of the rom.

From your screenshot it looks like a system app so you'd need root to remove it. Try an app like SD Maid to freeze it and see if it has any ill effects on your phone.

No guarantees, but if an app can't be deleted through the settings app, it usually means it's set itself as a device administrator. Try settings, apps, three tabs top right, special access, device administrators. If it's checked then uncheck and try to delete. If not we'll go from there.

It does look like a system app but there's not an app called that on my s8

Which is why I moved the thread ... I don't have an S8 (The wife has an S7) but knowing how Samsung likes to hand out monkey wrenches like candy at Halloween I figured the OP needed someone with the same phone.

Although at second glance, the second picture looks like an nfc payment app. I couldn't judge on that as I lost Samsung pay the second I rooted.

It has a SIM like icon with "balance" and "payment". Something to do with your carrier? Is it a carrier version S8 you've got there?

No I bought it in asamsung shop.
By the way I can t see the app ig I search it with sd maid or so.
And two days ago the app wasn't there that it s why I do not understand where it comes from. Also if I try to go into the two options it is asking me for a phone pin.
I have no clue on what's going on.

Have you installed any other apps right before you started seeing this?

Frankly the only times I've seen something that might be similar, is "SIM Toolkit". Which is determined by the SIM, an not all carriers implement it

Go to settings, then to application manager, then to Downloaded Apps, then try to find that app on the list..it should be there..sometimes in there it's the only way to uninstall a malicious or an undesirable one..keep in mind it might've changed its own name..even better, try to look for something you don't recognize.
