Pixel 2 xl wallpaper keeps changing glitch?

So can't really show this, but I go to Google photos, Google file manager, or Simple Gallery app and I set a home screen wallpaper of a car. Give it a couple days, my car picture is zoomed in excessively. When viewing the picture, it is automatically in zoomed in position. I manually zoom out to see the full car and then set the wallpaper. Haven't tried setting a wallpaper from zoomed in position because all my pictures I want to see the whole thing and not just a part of it. Also haven't tried Google's stock wallpapers.
Anybody else having this?

It depends on the picture.
If it's in landscape, the picture will be zoomed in to fit your screen height, there's no work around for that.

Right makes sense or else there will be black bars. But i purposely found wallpapers for the dimensions of this phone... So why does Google auto fit something that is already native resolution the same as the phone?.

Im having the same problem with my pixel 2 xl, whenever i set a wallpaper, and then launch an application and then go to my homescreen, the wallpaper is zoomed in.

Have you tried to shut the app down and restarting it. That usually works for me. Visit app. Look for it and force it to stop

Having the same issue. Currently mine isn't zoomed in, it's only showing the bottom half of the pic.The bottom half of the screen is black.
I'm sure it will revert back at some point, gonna wait to see how long that takes.

Got bored, restarted the phone and it's fine - for now...
