Get texts off a difficult phone

My sister is in a bind. Her company decided to lock her work phone so apps can't be installed. Now someone higher up has decided that all phones need to be apple but before that happens my sister needs to have the texts on her galaxy off the phone somehow so she can log them as needed for her job.

Any idea how to get those off?

What kind of method did they use to stop her from downloading apps? There might be a way around it and she should be able to download a text backup app.

Approximately how many text messages are there that she wants to retain? If just a few dozen than just forward those messages to another texting service that she has complete control over. If it's a matter of hundreds, that could be a problem. There's undoubtedly a lot of back story that you can't convey over just a posting but since that's a company phone if it's a matter where they specifically don't want the staff to be able to save everything, what you're asking is for advice on how to subvert a company privacy policy.

The backing up text messages part from an S5 without installing apps is easy. Get a laptop, install SmartSwitch on the laptop, connect the phone, press backup on the laptop.

The problem I'm seeing is restoring that to an iPhone.

Advise her to find another job somewhere where the management are not *******. lol

Although, admittedly, places like that are getting harder and harder to find nowadays...
