Samsung Galaxy S7 photo size too big for email

Hi folk

I have Samsung Galaxy S7 and I am using it for work and take a lot of photos (smallest resolution ) and I need to send them via email but size are too big for email.
What I am doing now copy photos from mobile to PC them resize them to resolution 600 by 800 ,,,but it bit hassle.

Any idea how I can capture small size photos on mobile and send them via email app on mobile ?

Thx

I use the Photo Editor app, by Macgyver. It's one of several that I have on my phone, but it's the one I go to most often. It will allow you to change the image size easily.

Are they too big in terms of resolution or file size? I would think if you are using the smallest size resolution for your phone, you should be able to email them.

The smallest SGS7 resolution is 16:9=3.7 MB and i meant file sizes are too big when they are many
Thx

I think you mean MP (megapixels)

That's usually a limitation of the email server. Generally they'll balk at attachments totaling 5MB or more, but that's really up to the server administrator and company policy. You should check with them and find out what your limits are. That 3.7MP image will be about 900k so you could probably be able to send then 5 at a time.

Sorry, my wife has the S7 but she's at work so I can't check. On some phones in the camera app, there is a "quality" setting, usually low/med/high. That's where it sets the jpg compression settings. It might disappear if you use .png or raw formats.

I just looked and I couldn't find it in the stock app either. I took a picture at the lowest resolution option and it was 1.1 MB when saved. Apparently that's not an option with the stock camera. :( Maybe a different camera app would offer more control of the image size.
