Unable to root my Android ...i have updated it

Updating usually makes root harder if anything, since it may close exploits used to obtain root.

So what have you tried and what os version do you have? I don't expect I can help as I don't know this device at all, but that info may help someone else.

FYI one of the premises of Android 6.x Marshmallow or later, is to make rooting much more difficult or impossible, especially so called one-click exploit roots, like Kingroot. And I suspect that was Lava's intention as well with the update, that their phones shall not easily be compromised(pwned) by malicious apps that may have root exploit payloads. Especially given the amount of pirated apps and games in that part of the world, Lava being an Indian manufacturer.
