Just got Pixel 2 XL and love it but I have one Question?

Hi all. New to this but really need some help. Absolutely in love with the phone. Best android experience ever!! However not sure if anyone else has the same or not but my Pixel seems to vibrate randomly and then when I check there doesn't appear to be any notifications. Can anyone help or does anyone know what it is and how to fix if needed? Thanks a lot.

You haven't got anything set up which would activate silent or do not disturb mode automatically? Mine gives a little vibrate when it enters "vibrate only" mode, which I have it programmed to do at various times, and the only visible clue with that is the ringer mode icon on the status bar.

No I don't believe so. I have a schedule set up for do not disturb but it's not until the evening! Thanks for your help though. Im confused as to what it could be.

The trouble is that it's not much to go on. If you can spot any pattern to when/where it happens that may be the best hope. I assume it's been doing this since new, rather than it just starting (the latter might give some clues, i.e. what changed before it started?).

On a previous phone I had a problem where I would get occasional beeps for no obvious reason. I eventually realised that a battery monitor app I'd installed had a setting to alert me if the battery temperature exceeded some threshold, but as the beep was the only indication it gave, and I'd not actively chosen this setting, it took me a couple of weeks to work out what it was! I don't have anything like that with my Pixel, but this is what it reminds me of.

Yeah it's odd. I restarted phone about an hour or so ago and it hasn't done it since the restart. Also spoke to support who said it could've been active gesture with assistant but I've already got that setup but I'm trying to hold phone less tightly see if that helps.

I'm fairly sure when I tested assistant that you'd see it on the screen if you triggered it (I've got it turned off at the moment, so this is from memory).
