Hey All, I am trying to set the App "Textra" as my default messaging app. But I do not have the option! Take a look at the screenshots. This is CRAZY! I do not have the option in my system settings - More....

What to do? I can not send any texts! I have uninstalled, cleared data, etc..

OK, that is pretty weird. With Hangouts currently set as the default, and if it is indeed not even on your phone, on a whim try installing it.

Launch the app so it attempts to set itself up, and while you don't even have to actually use it, try going back into your Settings menu and see if you can reset the Textra app as your default. If you can, just go back into your app menu, 'Force quit' the Hangouts app, and be sure to use 'Clear data' to wipe the app's settings and cache before tapping on the 'Uninstall' button.

Yeah I tried that and it didn't work.... so I went into TWRP and installed a backup from October of this year (it is just the boot and one other small thing) and when I finished that and went back into my Android System Settings - More.... this was back to normal.... (see attachment - Mine says Textra!)... Very very strange huh? Thanks for the reply man!
