No voice when calling except when free calls

I've just updated my J5 to nougat a few days ago, and i don't know if this problem is caused because of the update but for some reason. Whenever i call someone or someone called me, there are no voice or sounds coming from the call. But if i try to use free call via WhatsApp or Line, the voices or the sounds come just fine. Can someone please help me? It's getting frustrating since not everyone is gonna call me via WhatsApp or similar app. I don't think it's because of my hardware because i can still call someone through free call. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Check your call volume, i think they changed that in either the dialer app or settings>networks>call>more or something silly like that.

Do you have a screen protector? Sometimes these thing interfere with the proximity sensor and they mute calls unexpectedly. Whatsapp wouldn't be affected because it uses the data connection and just opens the mic.

Never used a screen protector before. And no screen protector as of now, but tbh i did dropped the phone a few times

I doubt dropping the phone would affect it this way. It's obvious that the speaker and the mic both still work. Have you tried calling a land line close to you and leaving the connection open while you fiddle with settings while on a call? I've got to think that the phone is muting calls, rather than something is broken. All else fails, a factory reset might clear it up. (if you do go that route, make sure everything is backed up first.)
