AppFlash that came with the latest system update.

I got the system updates a few nights ago. I had read that Verizon installed an app called AppFlash that was basically spyware or data collection or whatever you want to call it but no one wants it on their phone. It also drains the battery. I read you could disable it in Application Manager. I don't see it there. However, I went to the Play Store tonight and there is an update to this app. Do I have to install the update to disable it? I am not having any issues with the phone. I have not seen the app pop up offering to find stuff for me. Am I better off leaving well enough alone? Hey Verizon how about no apps we didn't ask for in system updates!

Thank you in advance for any info anyone has on this.

I did a video on how to disable AppFlash

Watch 'AppFlash on the Verizon Wireless LG V20' on YouTube

When you go into your app manager you have to show SYSTEM apps. Then clear data and disable app. Also, remember to deny all permissions.

Changed my mind. Just did it. I did not have clear data. Mine had force stop and disable. No permissions were granted. Did you turn off the background data also or does disabling the app do that. I had no icon and had never used it. It had never popped up. But it was there!
