Never had an apple fritter. Chinese takeaways used to give you a pineapple fritter with Chicken Maryland sometimes, but I've not even seen one of those in years either.

It's just a chicken breast in breadcrumbs. It also comes with a wee sausage, bacon, a banana fritter and previously a pineapple fritter.

Maybe they just changed the name and if I wink and ask for a Chicken Manchester, they'll give me my pineapple fritter back?

Just so you know, I asked my neighbor (Peng Chan) who owns a Chinese restaurant and he's never heard of "Chicken Maryland". Over here on the east coast, Maryland is most noted for crabs.

I've never seen a Chinese restaurant that has Chicken Maryland or Manchester Tart on the menu, and I've dined in a heck of lot of Chinese restaurants.

Actually yes there is it usually a breakfast pizza a regular pizza crust but instead of marinara sauce, the crust is covered in butter cinnamon, brown sugar Apple slices are added and then those are topped with cream cheese. I worked at a shakeys pizza back in the 80's, it was big hit with the locals
