How to get message pin to top option?

Hi all new to the forums.

Upgraded from a p9 to a pixel 2 yesterday and its great but there is one thing that i miss from my p9 and that's the option to pin message conversations to the top, is there any way I can do this on my pixel 2 as it would be a shame not to have.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

This is SMS conversations? If so it will be a feature of the message app, and the solution will be to find a different message app which has that feature (I've just looked at my apps and Chomp SMS can do this: long press on a conversation in the list and it's one of the options).

(I don't know whether the default message app has that as an option somewhere as I disabled it about an hour after I got the phone).

Yeah this is for SMS conversations, I'll have a look into third party messengers then could you give some recommendations ?

(My alternate is Textra, but I didn't find that option in that app).
