Unlock hot-spot ZTE blade x max cricket

Will that work on nougat?

I just tried it and it won't work it just says to use cricket hot-spot visit cricket website to set up a plan. I have a plan but I want to be able to use my hotpot when I want

I know that...they do have most hotspots locked if you have cricket but my old phone let me use the hot-spot with a app from the play store without paying a monthly fee and only getting so many gb every pay cycle. I have unlimited so I should be able to use the hot-spot regardless. I know there was a way to do this but I'm just not sure of it myself.
 
I have just unlocked my Z983 for carrier change fron Cricket to T-Mobile and now have hotspot problem 'There is a temporary network problem that prevents the enablement of the Mobile Hotspot function. Please retry later.'. Investigating if Bootloader from Cricket is block...
 
Yeah I tired it, it says connected (no internet) not sure what I'm doing wrong. The data is definitely running slower on the ZTE blade. My grand Max 4 was really decent with the speeds.

I use this app sometimes too, but only as a USB tether to the mega virus known as the Windows operating system 😂 But for real tho, that hotspot quit working for many devices.. fortunately I had an Older ZTE device (2014) as most newer ones didn't work. For Linux, I either use a custom ROM or USB Tether Pro. Oh, no hotspot apps need for a custom ROM
