Help Phone got stuck on start up screen after restart using a windows program PLEASE HELP!

So, the thing is that I was trying to recover an voice note I've deleted and I runed a windows program to do so. When the program started working on the recovery it restarted my phone to do the last step. When my phone restarted I got a weird message on a black screen "To strat up your device enter your password". I have the fingerprint and the pattern set as my default unlock ways so I don't know to which "Password" is this message reffering to. I've read that it maight be reffering to my google account password but I've tried that and nothing. I also read about it has something to do with google ADM protecting my phone but I couldn't find any way to restore that password from the google Adroid Device Manager panel on PC. I'm very desperate about this, I just want to know what is the password this thing is asking me. Or I just want to backup all my data to do a factory reset then. The thing is that the phone is on that lock screen, it isn't even started up so I can't do anything. Is not conected to wifi, nothing!!! it is just stuck there. If you know which password is this asking me that would help or if you know how can I do a backup with the phone locked up, that could help me out too.. Thanks!

Sounds like the whatever it is Windows program may have been attempting to root, but has corrupted and damaged the phone's firmware. If so you'll need to re-flash it.

Was it Dr. Fone or Wondershare or some other Chinese "free" Windows program, which has great promises about recovering data but never works.

Yes Dr. Fone ... Grrrr. So What to do bro? How do I re-flash it? Does that will erase all my data? there isn't a way to do a backup with the phone as it is right now?

You can try flashing a stock ROM and there's a possibility your files will still be there. With Samsung phones if you're careful the data partition, where your data resides, is left as is, when you flash a stock, Samsung ROM. Go here and pick the appropriate ROM to download:

Be sure to get the one that exactly matches your model i.D. and your carrier. Don't substitute, ROMs are specific to each model. Hi, thank you for your help bro... So I went to that link and there is like 7 ROMs that matches my carrier and country. How can I see the PDA number of my phone from the recovery mode?. I think that's the only thing that is unique in that list of ROMs. And, as I only can go on recovery and donwload mode, is there a way to se the PDA number as my phone is right now?

Hey I did what you said and I think it works, only that, somehow I can't see the files.

Whe I did what yo said the phone asked me to set all as the first time. None of my configurations or apps where there. I tought I've lost all the data until I started to install apps. A notice was telling me that I don't had enough space. The thing is that this device comes with 16GB of storage so, it was imposible that if all my app data and voice notes weren't there I don't had space. I then went to the storage calculator and saw that the system where only recognizing 4 GB as my storage capacity, this phone comes with 16GB from the factory. I believe that somehow I can't see the old data because it maight be in another partition. Do I'm right? if yes, how can I see that data? can I make a backup off all partitions to restore it later?. If not, then why is the system telling me I onle have 4 GB? How can I fix that?

Just for some background info, the internal storage in your phone is divided up into different partitions. Most are protected system partitions and then there's that one data partition, where all your files and stuff are stored. Also, typically you only have very limited interaction with any of the system partitions, with one of the rare instances involving flashing a ROM. Using something like the Odin utility, unless you specify it to do so it will leave that data partition as is.
So the issue with only seeing 4 GB now is of course an indicator something is messed up. And the fact that the apps you've installed weren't there is a tip-off that something did happen to the data partition. This is just supposition but since something like Dr. Fone was involved earlier, it's hard to determine what's going on at this point. (It might have corrupted the file system and no matter if your did or did not flash the ROM, your files might have already been lost.)

This probably isn't going to fix your problem but try wiping the system cache partition. You need to boot your J7 Prime up into its Recovery Mode, and then select the 'wipe cache partition' option. Should only take a few seconds and then reboot normally.

Thank you man, I couldn't recover my voice notes which was all that matter for me, but I saved my phone and backed up everything from Samsung cloud and Google and the device is just as it was before the F$%#*^ Dr Fone messed up all. I'm a musican, that's why I was so desperate to get those voice notes back but... thank you so much, You helped me a lot.

I think the fact that the phone was asking me for a password I never put at startup is a realy bad issue on Android. They should fix that because if I had had that password nothing would have happened

Very doubtful something like a secret Android default password even exists. Most similar issues are tied to a user not recalling entering a password when first setting up their phone.

Well I'm pretty sure I did not put any password. As I said, my main ways of unlocking were fingerprints and pattern.
