Confusion over variants

I am confused as to which variant I have and whether it is rootable. I know it's the OWENS_NA_CUST (Meaning unlocked?) version. It appears to the the Amazon version, and is preloaded with all sorts of Amazon apps I have disabled. Is this thing rootable? I read that the normal Amazon e4 is not, but cannot find information on this one. If so, is there a good guide? I have had three rooted phones in the past, but those were all Samsungs where all I had to do was use ODIN and flash a few things.

Thanks in advance

EDIT: Found Bootloader Unlock thread, will pursue that if I don't hear back before I have time to do so.

Ah. Found it under "hardware" I don't think it's been there before. Xt1775
Even if it is a version that is bootloader unlockable, I heard that the Amazon version of the normal e4 is not?
I'm not totally sure, but I think the only ones that aren't unlockable are Verizon's phones (at the moment..)

Alright, I will try it when I have time.

Anybody know how to set it to unlock and open when you hit the fingerprint sensor? On the first boot it would go straight open when I hit it but now it just goes to the lockscreen and I have to swipe up to get into my phone.

Just tried to follow the guide. When I put the string into Motorola's website it tells me the bootloader is not unlockable. I guess this means no root for me unless there is another way :(

As long as you put the string in properly, and you checked the box agreeing to the terms of unlocking, I don't believe there is anything you can do.

If you goto the next step and check your bootloader via adb it may already be unlocked. Hence the reason the website wont accept your id

Also make sure you have no spaces in the number, but LEAVE THE '#' symbols in it.. Should look like a very long number/symbol codeline
