What does it mean when you send a text message and the recepient is different from what you have sent

It means either you have the wrong number or your contact gave you the wrong number

No..I just sent a message to someone that is not a contact but when I sent it it keeps sending me a message saying that someone else received it

The number is my Cray ex but he is NOT saved as a contact
