Help Swype: Not Swyping, black area middle of keyboard

Hello! Does anyone know how to fix Swype if it is malfunctioning? It won't let me swype (I have to type every letter individually), and it has a big black void in the middle of the keyboard. I don't know how this happened, nor do I know if it is a malfunction vs. a setting within swype. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Oh! That's the split keyboard option.. I'm betting that your fix is a toggle in Settings-Language&Input-VirtualKeyboard..

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, that didn't do the trick. I also found out that Swype is no longer under development, so there are no updates and there isn't any customer service support. So, I may have to get used to Samsung keyboard or download a different keyboard app. Any suggestions on other keyboards?

Unfortunately I do not have suggestions on Keyboards as I use Custom ROMs.. Maybe you can try one of there's any available for your device
