how to have my phone unlocked

am from the carribean & i bought my phone from the usa,its server is Tmobile, i have no Tmobile account,or sim card n i cant seem to get it unlocked, can any one help me out

only way to unlock it is active service for I believe with T-Mobile it's 6 months then call them to unlock it.

That is false. It is a T-Mo phone, and will work as is. He just needs an unlock code from T-Mo to unlock the phone. If it isn't stolen or purchased with an account with an outstanding balance they will usually provide the unlock code no problem.

I got the code online but this phone doesn't prompt you in order to enter any code,reason why is because this phone uses the device unlock app to unlock it.
