It has been a week that a app named "gpsd" started appearing in battery usage ,it was not there before. Since then my battery hasbeen draining fast. How do I get rid of this?
 
Have you had any app or system updates in that time?

My first thought was it might be location related (e.g. GPS daemon), so anything that might be running more than previously and accessing GPS information. If that is what gpsd is (and my research seems to support this) then it's unlikely to be gpsd itself that's the problem, but rather some other app that's making excessive GPS requests.

No there had been no system upgrade. I have also tried factory reset but it's still there.
