Help Volume lowers during media playback randomly

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem im having on my phone and I would appreciate it a lot!

I'm having trouble with volume on my LG Stylo 3 Plus. I've had it for about 5 months now and one day I was using my Bluetooth headphones on my way to work and my music lowered its self to the state when you get a notification, but I didn't receive any. Then it would go back to normal voulme level at random times. It would also pause randomly also. I've noticed that this happens with any kind of media playback and I get my notifications at full volume even when the music in the background suffers from the low volume.

At that point I thought it was my headphones but i started playing my music without headphones and I got the same issue.

I've already restored my phone and it fixed the issue for a bit but then the problem started happening again after a while.

Im on Android 7.0
Any help or insight on this issue is greatly appreciated!!!

Exact same issue on Stylo 3 (not plus). Purchased the phone in January. Android 7.

I just noticed the problem on Saturday, June 2. It's not app specific. That day it was an audiobook, with headphones. The next day it was a podcast, without headphones. And all of this week it has happened during music playback, with and without headphones.

The pausing and the randomized lowering as if a notification has come in.

Based on other threads not specific to this device, I've adjusted what gesture settings exist and tried the Volume Control app (formerly Persist) by Netroken. No luck. The app helped with the volume lowering, but that seemed to only increase the randomized pausing.

There's some internal data I can't find to move and cannot afford to lose, so I'm a little relieved to hear a factory reset is not the answer. But this problem is beyond frustrating. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!!!

So far as I know it's an Android thing. I've had the Moto G4 and now the Moto G5 Plus and they both do it. I also had an LG Stylo 1 and I think it does it possibly as well. In my case I play a lot of music on my device and it'll start off a song and then lower the volume. I go to turn the volume back up and have to click a pop-up that says it's to protect my hearing as it thinks I plugged in some headphones and not the stereo system in my car instead. But there's nothing that I know of you can do about it.

Think of your eardrums @kblanco. Just tap Ok and crank it up!

Oh I know why it lowers it and can appreciate it as many folks do plug in headphones and proceed to turn up the volume to much. However I'm plugging it into my car and always keep the volume low in the car. I'm not thumping the base so much you can feel it two cars over at a stop light or anything... That's not me 9r the way I roll!

If you are plugging into the headphone jack to connect I think your phone thinks you are using headphones. Strange really... I've used my headphone jacks to plug into a few speakers and never had that problem. i think Google thinks cars are headphones.
