I use this app all the time. Used it earlier today but now all of the sudden it's saying to check the internet on my phone, it's not being detected. Which clearly I have or I wouldn't be in here. Its never done that before. Help!

I'm on Cricket. Problem started about 6:45pm eastern.
It's also Verizon... Haven't updated anything in 2 yrs.Hum, if it is Cricket, looks like issue is on Foxfi side instead of being the carrier
This does seem familiar. Perhaps it will come back. It's also Verizon... Haven't updated anything in 2 yrs.
I seem to remmeber this happening before though, and it was working again in a few hours. Hopefully it is just on the app side. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.
I found your post because the same thing with me, today, July 3, 2018, and it was working today up until about 1pm. We have Verizon. We have had this issue in the past, probably been about 2 years ago though. I am happy to see it's not just us. We have 2 phones with FoxFiI experienced the same problem today (July 3, 2018). Was working all day until now on all ZTE phones.
Exactly, in the past, been down for hours, sometimes a couple days, and then back up...hoping this is still the case this time. I never did the update, and it has not been forced to update, so I don't think it's a Verizon thing, hoping it's just FoxFi. I even wrote to them to ask if there was an issue today. Also down on my Verizon Note 5 using Android 6.01. Verizon finally force upgraded me after avoiding countless update prompts over the last year. Rolled back to 6.01 afyer that and it worked great for about 3 months, and now it's broken despite no forced update.
And yes, I also recall on more than one occasion Foxfi suddenly failing over the last for 5 years and June fixed something to address it within hours. Hopefully that's the case this time.
I have a feeling it's another FoxFi issue like in the past years. I am not touching my phone or app, and waiting to see. Since it is other carriers, we now know it's not Verizon blocking. I wrote to FoxFi, hoping others maybe did, and they will be aware of the issue. I am hoping it's just an app issue.Issue just began happening on my device today. I have used this hot spot utility for years and intentionally do not update my phone. So no changes have been introduced on my end.
Samsung Galaxy S4
Verizon grandfathered unlimited plan
Error: internet not detected on your phone.
Troubleshooting: Powered phone off
Removed battery
Removed sim card
Rebooted and waiting for full functionality of phone to load
Tested internet connection
Then opened FoxFi
Issue persists
I will continue to reboot and test this evening. If it has not returned by tomorrow morning I will wipe my phone and restore to 6 months ago. I will keep this forum updated with my progress.
I m reading other carriers this is happening to. I am hoping this is another app issue like in the past. We have Verizon, I saw a Cricket and one other so far.Same here. Brought my old version phones. All are running Android 6.x. No OTA updates.
None worked.
Verizone Note 4, Note 5, 6S edge.
Seem VZ is able to block from their ends.
Shirley. Time to say good bye to VZ and get Xfinity
Net-Share no-root-tethering in the Google app store. I was reading some people who used to have FoxFi but updated above 6.0 are now using this one, but not as good as FoxFi. ANYONE? Has anyone heard about this app as a replacement for FoxFi should it never work again?S6 down with Verizon. Been using this app for years. Anyone know of any other apps
