Youtube freeze issue.

I recently bought a Samsung s7 edge, but sometimes while watching videos on YouTube, the image freezes but the sound keeps playing..any ideas?
 
You have two options..either update the app or use the browser on your phone to access your YouTube..the last option won't freeze for sure..
 
Have you tried clearing the Youtube app's cache? If so, try 'Clear data' and see if that makes any difference.
Also, if you haven't just restarted your S7 recently, a reboot can clear up a lot of odd behavior.
 
Yeah, clearing the cache only worked for few hours..
Is this a software issue? Thinking about storming the store's door and asking for a refund, but not sure what the problem exactly is,so..
 
Have you tried restarting? That fixes a lot of things. Or clearing data? That will rule out some setting in your Youtube app's Settings menu that might be the cause. Or as @Xavier Black suggested, use a web browser and going to https://m.youtube.com . If you experience the same problem that would indicate a possible bandwidth or some kind of video resolution issue, if not that would indicate the app on your phone is probably the problem.
But whatever the case, if you would please provide more details and what you have or haven't tried to diagnose your problem, it would save a lot of repetition and make it easier for more suggestions.

Tried clearing the cache, restarted the phone few times..only works for few hours then does it again.

I'm on youtube for really long periods,but It happens like two or three times a day.

It never freezes the videos in my gallery though.
