Vibrate & NFC not working with 8.0?

My Vibration and haptic response and my nfc have stopped working since the 8.0 update the other day. Restart didn't work... Hoping to not have to reset.
 
For what? Do you use it for Google Pay and that's not making any vibration/haptic response? I ask because Google Pay is being updated (server side) to incorporate Google Send (like from Wallet days! yay) into one app. I wonder if that is what happened and not the actual Oreo update. My friend's just updated the other day and Pay was updated, mine has not been yet (different phone anyway), I'm not sure he uses it though.

If you're using for something that didn't change (files etc.) then ignore all of that.
 
It's actually two separate problems. My vibration has stopped all together.

And then, yes, Google Pay has also stopped working. The nfc icon is still there in my status bar, and I toggled it off and back on in settings, but nothing is happening when I try to pay when the phone.

You may have to re-set your cards/account. Go into Google Pay and make sure your cards/accounts are showing there. Also, go into settings/Google services & pref's/Google Pay and double check your cards there. I'm on Oreo but don't have the new Google Pay but mine still vibrates and works like always.

Just checked my Google Pay app and Google Pay under settings - both have my current banking and credit card info and says they're set up for in-store use.

And yeah - vibration for everything. At first I thought that maybe the motor had died but then I realized nfc wasn't working and then remembered the prep update the other day and figured they may be linked... Unless both just randomly stopped working at the same time and just coincidentally after the update.
 
Odd.

The only thing i can suggest is clearing cache for GP but I'm not sure that'll help. Settings/apps/GP/storage/clear cache.

You may have to factory reset, I hate that as a solution though.
 
Half hard reset. Use the restore partion from the boot loader, keep files and restore only the OS. Turn OFF phone

Power & down button same time to get to menus
