Trekkies discussion - TNG (The Nerd Generation)

Watched 'Into Darkness' last night. It's a great film, and Cumberbatch delivers a magnificent performance. He really makes a brilliant evil villain. The story even manages to get a Tribble in there! Love the evil Federation warship - it's all in black, and even the computer has a threatening attitude/voice :)

OMG!

I forgot all about this, but Lt. Ro has defected to the Maquis!
Picard was left speechless. Massive betrayal of his trust in her.

The expression on his face at the end of that episode was priceless. But, it certainly wasn't a shocker -- at least not for me.

Apparently from what I heard on the radio this morning Patrick Stewart is hoping to revive his character for more

We've finally finished TNG, and the Enterprise has sailed off into the spatial anomaly.
Maybe I was expecting a bigger send off than Picard turning up to the poker game. But then, he had just saved the entire human race from extinction.

Oh well, we've now got 7 series of Voyager, and the whole of DS9 to look forward to.

Don't all the TNG movies take place after the show went off? Or is that how the last movie ends?

7of9 is surely worth another watch. :D

Voyager started off slow..
there were a few odd ducks.. the cook becoming something of a ship counselor.. was stupid.
but really became my 2nd fav of the franchises.

7of9..was awesome character...she could have had her own breakout movie..

I liked Voyager and the ending was actually pretty decent. I currently watch DS9 as my lying in bed show so I usually only see 5-10 minutes of an episode before I am asleep so I get a lot of mileage out of each episode

I am in the timeline where the Dominion is just becoming a concern so that is starting to keep the story focused a little more at the moment

The good news is, I've received our TNG uniforms for an upcoming Trek convention. Yes indeed, it's nerd factor 9 for us!
I have to say I'm impressed with the garments, and they come with a full set of pips. Maybe I'll wear an invalid combination, just to annoy the uber-nerds. :D
But looking at photos of other events, we're certainly not going to look out of place wearing this kit.
