Not connecting to mobile data/internet

Recently upgraded to an s9 from s5. Whenever I leave work (and disconnect from my work Wi-Fi), then go to use my phone on the train my mobile internet doesn't work. I have dull 4g signal. I have to disconnect it then turn it back on and it's fine. I don't have this problem when leaving home on a morning and disconnecting from my own Wi-Fi? I don't know if it is some setting I have overlooked (it's a big jump s5 to s9 settings/options/features wise!)

It could be that the wifi at work is stronger than the one at home so it takes a little longer to get out of range and switch to mobile data. Try long pressing the wifi tab in the pull down and select advanced settings. Then turn on smart network switch. Can't guarantee it'll make a difference but it's worth a try.

Unfortunately that didn't work. Someone on another forum has suggested turning off VoLTE so gonna give that a try tomorrow. Something to do with some update Samsung released.

My S9 used to work perfectly. Then there was an update by Samsung. Now none of my game simulators will connect to server over the mobile network. I have done all of the resets that has been suggested. And nothing works. Is Samsung going to release a patch to allow for Server Connection on the Google Play platform? Or is there something else that I can try.
