LG G6 Moisture Warning

Hello. I am new to forums. Has anyone else had a moisture error on their LG that prevents charging? Now prevents wireless charging. Don't know what to do. Suggestions please?

I guess the first big question is did you get your phone wet?

If the moisture sensor is detecting moisture inside, then it's protecting the internals by not letting it charge. If it's a faulty sensor, then it would have to be replaced by LG.

You could try putting the phone in a sealed bag of uncooked rice for 24 hours and see if that can dry it out enough to charge.

Ok. Thank you. We get a lot of humidity in Ohio. Especially lately. There is no moisture present, aside from that. I'll try what you say.

I have been getting this message off and on for roughly two weeks. I took my phone into one of my carriers store had the phone inspected and they found zero traces of water. I was told it could be humidity or it could be a defective sensor or something else.

Thank you. The warning has gone away for now. But it still comes up off and on. It was present for about two weeks. I had to buy a wireless charger just to charge it. But it is working for now. Thanks again.

I am having the same issues. I will get the warning one day multiple times in which I have to restart my phone to get rid of it and then for a day or two nothing. Haven't gotten it in the last 24 hours. I am going to invest in a wireless charger also

The wife's G6 did this once, got a message to the effect that it was charging at slow rate due to moisture. Told her to unplug/replug the cable and that fixed it, never got that message again...

You've been one of the lucky ones. I got the message again about thirty minutes ago. Phone has had absolutely no contact with water.

Does reseating the USB cable connector help? Wife's phone only did it once and that was the fix...

I have two LG G6 phones, one for my wife and another one for my son. My wife's G6 never got this message, my son's G6 was getting this for a week, and it is still popping up.

When I searched Internet I saw that other phones like Samsung's had this problem too.

I started getting this msg about a month ago. I use an old Samsung wireless charger at times now. Also if I shut the phone off I can plug it in to charge. Finally, when the phone is on and it tells me moisture is detected, disconnect I unplug and clear the notification and am able to charge again after that.
