Unlocked

Could you explain a littler further? You can't get past your phone's security or lock screen? You can't use a different sim card? There are many different ways a phone can be locked.
 
Device unlock could be a lot of things .. what sort of device unlock are you takingl about, and what problems are you having with it?
 
Sim unlock?
Device unlock?
Root?
Bootloader unlock?
Screen unlock?
Password unlock?

There are lots of different things that can be called a phone unlock, which are you talking about? And what problems are you having with it?
 
Okay. If I understand, you are trying to use a different sim card and you are getting a "locked" message. This is locked from the carrier. Not sure where you are, but in the U.S., as long as the contract is satisfied and the phone has been active for a minimum period of time (varies by carrier) they will give you the code to unlock it. Granted you must be the first owner of the device.

I would check with your carrier.
