Casting Not Working in Lenovo k8 note,

Through casting want to connect smart TV ,which is possible through my another mobile Lenovo P2 showing .no wireless devices nearby

Already in Lenovo forums it is said that without Chromecast Lenovo k8note will not work .

Cast screen option is there , but no use

Kindly help anyone

Chromecasts are relatively cheap... and they do work really nicely...

otherwise, XDA suggests its possible, but you'd need to have a rooted device... If its not, then you'd need to do plenty of reading to ensure you don't brick the device whilst trying to get this set up.

Short answer, buy a Chromecast

Google stopped Miracast support awhile back and only includes Chromecast now.
Some manufacturer's have added it back for some of there phones, but not all.
Recently had to pickup a Chromecast dongle for my newer Motorola's.
