Android screen goes black too quickly

Just for shits-n-giggles, for the screen timeout issue, download KinScreen:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teqtic.kinscreen

Not exactly a solution, but worth a try for now.
Play with that app to set your screen timeout.
(I use that app and love it fwiw)

You can always uninstall it if it doesn't help.

Do you have Developer Options enabled to check Running Services?
If so, check to see any 3rd party apps that are running that you can disable.
This also may help find the culprit for your ads

No, nothing to do with that ad popups.
Just wanted to see if you saw any odd running services/apps. If you see one, you can check the permissions as far as the app having access to control the display.
