I want to know if my A8(2018) glass back cracked.

I want to know if my A8(2018) glass back cracked(about 25%). Will it still be water resistant?

I would not take the risk and I strongly doubt it is anymore. While there is a thin lamination (the color on the inside of the glass), if the crack tore through the lamination, water will most likely get into the phone's electronics. My son dropped his 1st Galaxy S8 and cracked the back, he took it into the pool thinking it was okay. After a few days, the phone would get very hot when he would charge it and the phone started to act up. We used the handset insurance to replace it.

I don't believe rain will be an issue, it's the pressure from being under water that's the issue. I recommend getting a good tpu case

And when i replaced the glass back at samsung, Will it got the same IP68 water resistant?
