LG G6 Oreo MIA Philippines

I have had my LG G6 H870DS for about six months. I am still on 7.0 and even worse my latest security update is dated April 1, 2017, so about 15 months with no security updates. I don't know what to do. Sell the phone and buy a phone from another brand???

That's the international dual-SIM variant of the G6. I believe that should have been updated to 8.x by now. The phone hasn't been rooted and modified has it?

No, not rooted or modified. I bought it new from Hong Kong. One peculiar thing is that I also have an LG V20. It received an OTA security update in March of 2018, but not the G6. The V20 is also stuck on Nougat 7.0. Are these OTA updates delivered by the carrier or by LG?

You don't want Oreo. Your going to experience endless problems. Another thing is LG doesn't seem to concern about keeping their devices updated.
