I've been using a Raspberry Pi 3(purchased at Maplin) as a Kodi box for the last two years, 'fully loaded' of course.

Simply because it's much more reliable and is much better quality than the cheapo Android/Kodi boxes available locally.

Wow! Sounds BEAUTIMOUS! Lol, Ya I have to read up a bit on them. So far Ive read one can run a multitude of OS on one. Im interested in Linux/GNU as I want to get to building custom ROMs and such like my good buddy bcrichster a.k.a The ROMinator. Not sure if a rasberry pi is 'powerfull,' enough or not. But Im really interested in coding/building custom kernels as well. Suuuuuuuure have my work cut out for me thats for sure! But wow ya, Nice to see/read such positive feedback here. THANKS GUYS/GALS! Cant wait to delv in aswell!

I'm actually running LibreELEC - "Just enough OS for Kodi".

The RP3 itself is in a Pibow case, plugged into my TV or DLP mini-projector, and remote controlled with mouse or app on my phone. Can either stream or play videos from USB hard-drives.

And to think I learned about them from the show MR. Robot. Which is BADASS I MUST SAY!

On a related note, I still get a buzz out of a simple thing like lighting up a LED. The Arduino is a perfect gadget for learning about electronics.
