LG G6 oreo update

Are you using it on ATT still? Many of these carrier-branded phones only receive updates if they connect to the original carrier's network. If you have access to an ATT SIM it might be worth trying that in the phone.

yes i bought unlocked version, and i am not using att sim. it is unlocked for region Georgia. I have not received any of updates.

But you said in the first post that it was an ATT phone. So I assume that a previous owner unlocked it and exported it to you (and you are in Georgia in the Caucuses rather than in the USA) So while it was unlocked when you bought it, as an ATT phone it was almost certainly originally locked.

In which case, although I don't know this particular model, it is quite likely that you will not receive an over the air update. You might be able to download it from somewhere and update manually using a computer, but I'm not familiar with the process for LGs.

The phone is AT&T version but i am not using at&t sim card because i am in Georgia so owner unlocked it to use another sim card and i bought it. its not rooted or something like this, just unlocked to use another sim card.

As I thought.

The thing is, phone versions produced for a particular service provider, such as ATT, get their updates from that service provider (because the software is customised and distributed by the service provider). SIM unlocking won't change that. And in most cases they won't receive the update notification when they are not using that provider's service. I can't say for this particular phone, but the fact that you haven't received the update suggests that probably is the case here.

I am not using at&t applications, but the phone is att version and i have not changed anything(ROM and etc.) with it.

I can tell you with certainty that any AT&T branded device, even if unlocked and using a different sim card, will not get updated outside of AT&T's network. You should be able to update it manually with the LG Update tool, but I've never used it myself so I'm not sure if there are any "gotchas".

Frankly, I don't see much of a difference between 7.0 and 8.0. Unless there's a specific reason for you to update, I wouldn't.

Yes i know about manually update but My phone had moisture detected problem without getting any wetness, and that's why i cant update it with PC, the error disappear, rarely appears only, I am charging normally but PC doesn't recognize it.

Twinster, don't be in a rush to get Android Oreo to me it has created problems. Hopefully Oreo 8.1.1 comes out soon but since Android P is already out I am not holding my breath

Guys please my phone is lagging seriously i just go a g6 what do i do

Hello and welcome to Android forums.

Is the phone new or did you get it from a previous owner? What version of Android is it running? New phones tend to be a little sluggish in the beginning if you are restoring an established account as all the apps and settings update.

Also, does the battery drain rapidly or does the phone get hot?
