anyway of getting audio through usb-c?

You need a phone that allows redirecting audio to USB-C or a piece of software to do so (it might or might not work on your phone)

If nothing works, your last option is a Bluetooth headset.

Missed you @twister6. How's the high end audio life treating you?

On an interesing tangent to this topic I recently purchased a Bluetooth speaker from my local pharmacy that only had a microUSB jack on the speaker itself but the included cable had a 3.5mm plug along with the USB for charging so you could get audio from the 3.5mm headphone jack on a PC. Ain't technology grand!

I'm good bro, busy as usual. High end audio review hobby has a lot smaller audience, yet in comparison to android forums I get 10x more questions lol!!! Gotta be some fuzzy logic here :D

With your bt speaker, did I get it right, it comes with a cable that has micro-usb on one side (going to the speaker) and something like a y-splitter on the other side with full usb (going to charger) and 3.5mm plug for audio? That would be strange, unless they have some kind of a switch between data and audio pins to multiplex it inside of the speaker.

It's a pretty short cable. In the 1st picture L-R that's the microUSB out, The TF Card slot, USB Slot (For like a thumb drive) and the On/Off switch. in the 2nd picture from iHip down it gets to complicated to list. It also doesn't sound that good but that cables amazing.
