As this is apparently an older Android 4.4.4 or 5.1 phone. I suppose you could try one of the so-called app "one click" security exploit tools in the absence of a proven computer based method. But it's very much good luck and here be dragons. Can you beg, steal or borrow a Windows PC?

Have you tried using kingroot or something similar?
If not, it's worth giving a try.
