Apps not uninstalling

So I have this old AF Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I'm using as an mp3 player and I have some games on it. However, I'm running out of storage and I'm trying to uninstall some apps. Unfortunately, when I long press an app in the app drawer and then I drag it so the uninstall option appears on the top, despite being able to drag it to the trashcan icon and leave it there it does not uninstall. It is supposed to start uninstalling and then say 'App Unistalled Successfully' or something along those lines. However, nothing appears and the app stays where it is.
Is there any way to fix this problem? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, SotosG227GR

Could be it's messed up somehow and acting funky? Maybe try factory resetting it, and that should clear all user installed unwanted apps and games, backup anything important first though.

What version of Android is this running? And, has it ever been rooted? You might have to revoke some admin permissions before you can uninstall.

Okay. Since 4.x wouldn't have been able to grant admin rights without root, you don't have that issue. I think Mike's recommendation to reset is probably your easiest remedy. (and please do back it up if you've got anything wouldn't want to lose permanently.)

Thanks a lot

What kind of apps have you tried to uninstall?

Some apps are "built-in apps" which cannot be uninstalled.

No, they are not preinstalled apps, and as far as I know, on those apps, you cant see the trashcan icon altogether. They are just games and stuff.
Anyway, thanks for the help
