Smart lock trusted location not working

So I tried to setup a location which is my house so I wouldn't have to unlock it. However it is not working ...

Even though from the pic attached I am well inside my ring ...

What if you aren't at home and you forgot your phone? Thieves could break in and access your phone's confidential data.

A couple of thoughts come to mind.

Firstly, I have found that after setting it up it sometimes needs a device reboot to take effect and also having worked satisfactorily for a few months it will just stop working and require a refresh of the 'add trusted place' procedure and/or a reboot.

Secondly, when you open Google Maps and tap the location button does the blue dot indicator put you within your property and is it steady?

I find that when at home WiFi location gives me a steady blue dot within a metre or so of my WiFi access point so I leave my Location Mode on 'Battery Saving' to avoid a poor GPS location, due to weak satellite signals, interfering with the WiFi location.

If your WiFi access point is in Google's database you should get a similarly accurate location and unless you have a steady and accurate GPS location at home make sure you are in 'Battery Saving' mode.

I have Galaxy S8+...Same problem...'trusted location unlock for home' doesnt work.

My S8+ is batting around 500 on trusted location lock. Not bad for baseball lol. Face recognition works about the same. At least the swipe lock works.
