Did the Hudl 1 come with a Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer battery?

It's lithium-polymer (LiPo). All devices that use a sealed-in pouch type battery are LiPo. Are you looking to replace a Hudl battery, especially as this device is a few years old now.

Hi
Thanks for your reply its appreciated.

The reason I wanted to know what type of battery the Hudl 1 had is that I am buying the Oculus Go VR headset, which doesn’t come with its own charger in the UK

Apparently the Go has a lithium-ion battery and requires a USB charger with an output of 5v 2A - the same as the original Hudl charger. So I am looking to use the Hudl charger with the Go.

I got a reply from Tesco tech support regarding what type of battery the Hudl 1 had and they are saying it was actually a li-ion battery, also batteries being sold online, which their sellers are claiming are genuine, appear to be the Li-ion type and there are some videos as well on youtube taking the hudl apart and the batteries look to be Lithium-ion- .That said, even if the Hudl battery was a lion-polymer battery would its charger also be able to effectively charge (safely) a Lio-ion battery?

Also If I was to buy a universal USB charger instead do you know if these generally charge both Li-on and Li-polymer type batteries

Thanks for your help :-)

Lion or Lipo it's not a big deal, my Lenovo comes with a Lipo but all the replacement batteries are Lion. They work indifferently.

Just buy a good charger, says 3A for your tablet.
