Do contacts created on my device sync to my gmail account ?

Normally, when I create a new contact via the contacts app on my phone, I choose the "Google" option which creates it in my *.gmail.com account in the cloud somewhere methinks.

Today, I created a new contact on my phone and this time, chose to add it to "my device".

Once done I forced a Sync to take place.

When I opened my contacts app (within my Chrome browser on my laptop), I don't see my newly created contact.

It's still there on my phone.
Just not showing up in the Google contacts app.

Would anyone have an idea why is did't sync from my phone to my gmail.com account ?

To sync contacts your required to sign in and setup a Google Voice https://voice.google.com/ account they are the ones who stores your vonrqcts online qnd you can only create one on PC ONLY

Google Voice is only available in one corner of the world. Anyone can sync contacts with Google, wherever they are. A GMail account is needed, Google Voice absolutely is not.

But as said, the whole point of a device contact is that it's for contacts you don't want to sync with Google (which is probably why Pixel devices don't offer them...).
