Bank of America app draining battery

Lurker
I have the official Bank of America app for my LG G6 and when I go into the settings under battery, it always says the app usage is really high. Like anywhere between 30% and 75%. This is by far the highest of all my apps, even YouTube and Snapchat, which I use a lot. I only use the Bank of America app about once a day for 30 seconds. Is anyone experiencing this?

Nope. I have a different phone (Essential) but BoA has never shown in battery usage. Has it always done this (different phone?) or did it just start (this phone?)?
It has done this since I got my phone (a couple months ago) and I had an iPhone before that. I just uninstalled the app and am going to see if my battery life improves.

  • For the bank of america app, you can turn on Background restriction.
  • For all apps, I recommend keeping Battery optimization on.
You can also try force stopping the app

Do you have that (stupid) Erica assistant turned on? I wonder if that is an always listening thingy so keeps the app awake? I did a real quick search and don't find this to be an issue that's been reported a lot. Odd.

I've avoided Erica. No battery problems
Probably just a coincidence though.
Does BOA plan on adding microphones to ATMs? I hope not. You have to plug in headphones now.
