No need to "believe" in dinosaurs: there are more genera of dinosaurs alive today than mammals. There are plenty live in or visit my garden, and a few I keep myself.

You are one hundred percent right about holidays originating from pagan roots. it always did amaze me how even after learning in history books and other publications how religion was the center of wars where conquered lands' local rituals were incorporated into religions to "win over the locals"… . if i am saying this right but u know what i mean.

If you 'believe' in evolution, the birds are the current dinosaurs. I definitely believe in birds ... except the one that crapped on my car last week ... he must have been a pterodactyl!

Modern ones are a clade known as "aves", subclade of maniraptorans, therapoda, dinosauria, archosauria, reptilia (off the top of my head)

Linneus classified them as different from and equal to reptiles, but let's face it he thought that rabbits were rodents - that's what happens if you use superficial features as the basis of your taxonomy
