Date and time wrong

After the latest update i noticed that my phones Automatic time and date keeps going to the wrong time and date. Its not just mine but my wifes S9+ and her Moms S9. I checked them against the routers and even turned off the wifi, still came up wrong after resetting the phones.

What details show up when you turn off automatic sync? If they match your correct time zone leave it off for now. If they don't match set it to the correct time zone and then see what happens when you turn automatic sync back on.

If the problem persists I suggest you contact Samsung. In your apps list is a Samsung folder and within there is a Samsung Members app. Sign up and submit a support ticket, they normally reply within a few working days. This will also send system logs so they can identify issues with your phone.

Did the update reset the default time zone? Are you using a VPN? There are a lot of reasons why time might not be synced to local time properly.

Dont live near any border for the cell tower thing, settings were right when on manual, but it would jump ahead about 16 hours on the date/time. Figured out a work around / fix for it though

Btw, the automatic time zone works only if you put in a sim card, it does not update through your WiFi. Therefore, if you don't have a sim card in your phone, you will have to manually set the time.

Just called mi operator... it claims is not their fault.. That it happens to some dumbphones, they connect to a misterious internet server...

I have a G S9+ that has done the same thing since the update earlier this year. It started by intermittently setting the time back 35 minutes. Recently, it has been setting it back 5h 24min. Aside from changing between those two amounts, it is always off by the same time. I would be interested in what work around has been found.

I've only had this phone for the last 2 months, but as of last week it has several times changed the time 7 hours ahead. It is set to automatic time, and changing it from that to manual doesn't fix it.

Is this the system time or the clock widget on your home screen that is incorrect?

The system time. I went in to change it to manual and it was 7 hours off there too. When I changed it back to automatic it seems to hold for a day or so.
